BASICS

Where is the Pop-Up Shop?

When are the scheduled November Pop-Up dates?​

  • Saturday, November 19 - 10am-4pm

  • Sunday, November 20 - 10am-4pm

  • Saturday, November 26 - 10am-4pm (Small Business Saturday)

  • Wednesday, November 30 - 11am-1pm

  • Saturday, December 3 - 12pm-5pm

  • Saturday, December 10 - 12pm-5pm

  • Saturday, December 17 - 12pm-5pm

  • Thursday, December 22 - 4pm-7pm (vendor fee waived)

  • Thursday, January 26 - 11am-2pm (vendor fee waived)

 

What is the application process?

  • All vendors must complete a registration form (Nov / Dec), pay the vendor fee, and wait for the approval.

  • Vendors will be selected by first come, first served.

  • If the vendor is not selected, vendor will be placed on a wait-list and contacted if a slot becomes available.

  • If vendor is kept on wait-list, vendor fee will be refunded.

 

How much is the vendor fee?

  • The vendor fee is currently $25, payable online via credit card during the vendor registration. The fee helps to offset utilities and other expenses with using the space.

  • Once the vendor agrees to the provided dates, payment must be received within 24 hours.

 
THE SPACE

Are restrooms available?

  • Restrooms in the Pop-Up are available for vendors only. Customers can use the restrooms available in the main lobby.

Is electricity and running water provided?

  • Electricity and Running water will not be provided; if those items are necessary for your display, please contact (Tuepeai Ortiz) before pop-up shop day to see if arrangements can be made.

What can you tell me about the storefront space?

  • This vacant storefront is located inside the Capital Center, with its main entrance on North Broad Street, between Bank of America and Walgreens. The space is roughly 3,000 square ft and large enough for 18 vendors. Each vendor will be provided a 10x10 vending space.

 
MARKET DAY

When can I arrive and how do I need to stay?

  • Vendors must arrive 1 hour before set up through the Broad Street entrance. Vendors must agree to be present during the above-mentioned hours and cannot leave early without prior approval. (cases of emergencies will be the only exception to this rule). Any vendors that arrive late will forfeit their fee for the day.

Where can I load/unload merchandise?

  • Vendors can load/unload their merchandise at Broad Street entrance.

Where can I park during the market?

  • 119 East Hanover Street parking deck

  • Limited on-street free parking along residential streets

    • Broad Street is only available for loading/unloading

What do I need to bring?

  • Vendors will need to supply their own tables, table covers, chairs, racks, displays, or other items required to sell their creatives.

  • Vendors can have up to 2 additional assistants during the pop-up shop, and all assistants should be over 16 years old (cannot be left alone during the pop-up shop).  

What am I not allowed to bring?

  • No weapons, smoking, drugs of any kind, alcohol, or obscene materials will be allowed inside the Pop Shop at any time. Any vendor violating this rule will be asked to leave the pop-up shop, and any other scheduled dates will be terminated.

 
OTHER QUESTIONS

What are the rain dates?

  • The pop-up shops will be indoors - no rain dates necessary.

What if I need to cancel?

  • Cancellations by the vendor must occur 2 weeks before the pop-up shop for a full refund for the date specified. All other cancellations will be examined on a case-by-case basis. No-shows will not be refunded.

How can I promote this event?

  • This project will be advertised via social media and print. Once accepted feel free to advertise on your social media. Each vendor will be asked to provide photos of items for sale to be included in social media posts.
