Trenton's Land Development Ordinance Update

The City of Trenton has embarked on an update to the City’s Land Development Ordinance. The Trenton 250 LDO Update process will help to better preserve, strengthen, and protect the historic physical patterns of development that define the character of the City, direct reinvestment to targeted areas, and create new opportunities for economic development, helping to make Trenton a more sustainable, livable, and business-friendly community. An updated LDO can address these problems, and provide opportunities for Trenton to move toward the vision established in “Trenton 250.” In short — modernizing the LDO is a big step in helping Trenton achieve its long-term vision, and there’s no time like the present.

The Trenton 250 Comprehensive Master Plan established a long-term vision for the future of the Trenton, and called for a number of new policies to move the City toward that vision. The Plan provides mapped and written policy about how development should occur within the City. The new LDO will take these policies as its base, and provide a set of new development regulations.

The first step in this process is the Technical Review and Approaches Report. This Report lays out the potential areas of revision and new approaches that can help Trenton achieve its vision. We invite you to attend a meeting where Camiros, assisted by WRT, the consultants hired to help the City create a new LDO, will present an overview of the Report and take questions and comments. We invite you to attend and provide your feedback!

The Technical Review and Approaches Report can be found at:
